A cliff fall along the revetment between Sandown and Shanklin has led to a safety warning being issued by the Isle of Wight Council.
A ‘significant’ slip occurred at Small Hope Beach – just before the beach huts – yesterday evening (Saturday), with barriers now in place to mark the area of danger.
The local authority is urging locals and visitors alike to stay clear of the cliff fall and to not climb on the debris – this area will be unstable.
Yes expected this would happen what with buildings above being given permission to be altered and tunnels dug etc.

Wonder if it something to do with all the rain in previous months now nothing but hot sunny weather, that mix is what causes landslips on basically unstable land.
