SHOCK VIDEO SHOWING CRUEL BULLYING OF YOUNG BOY NOW UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION

WEST WIGHT PARENTS LAUNCH PETITION FOR MEDINA SCHOOL BUS SERVICE
Share on FacebookShare on X

Fpmkilqx0ayiacyPolice have launched an investigation after a video was posted online seemingly showing a group of children forcing a young boy to eat what appeared to be excrement.

The disturbing video was posted on Facebook yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) and was widely shared before being removed from the platform after several hours.

In the video, a group of Medina College students – both boys and girls – could be seen standing in a circle around a boy, a fellow student who is thought to have special educational needs. They appeared to be taunting the child to eat something ‘fresh’ from the grass.

Article continues below this advertisement

The video captured the group’s shocked reaction to the act.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are treating the incident as an assault and are working with Medina College to identify those involved. The school says it is supporting the victim and is taking robust action against those featured in the video.

Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident. In the meantime, Islanders are being asked not to share the video.

It comes just weeks after another video circulated online showing children from a school in Ryde bullying another young boy – also with special educational needs – as they walked down the High Street.

UPDATE THURSDAY – Police have confirmed that they have dropped the investigation.

Article continues below this advertisement

Despite belief that the young boy was forced to eat excrement, it has been confirmed that no one was assaulted. It’s thought the poo was actually mud.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have declared the incident as non-crime and have referred the matter to the school.

How bloody nasty those kids are to a young, lone defenceless child. They wouldn’t do it to him if they were on their own….only if with their nasty mates. Name and shame them ALL.

Things like this should be recorded permanently for the rest of their lives, criminals get a record and serious assault (even underage) is no different in my opinion, and should be taken more seriously.

These kids knew what they were doing is wrong, and disgustingly got pleasure and laughter from someone’s suffering. That’s monstrous, and makes these people a threat to our community!

There needs to be real consequences! Having a permanent record that could effect your future, higher education and job perspective would be perfect for this scum!

This nasty scum should be displayed on large posters in every town, along with the scumbag parents that dragged them up….I take special needs children to school five days a week, it would break my heart if anyone of these children was put through this…

Set an example to other lowlife, and f*ck their age, everyone should know justice is being done….F**k the woke snowflakes….

All “bullying” is assault. Stop letting children getting away with serious crimes. Schools should be calling the police. Punching someone, even if they did call you a name (which in 99.9% of cases they did not) is not a valid reason for punching someone to the ground.

and you fready, should stop expecting society to create little protective bubbles for you to live in, where you won’t have to face real life and what it can throw at you – stop promoting fragility – we already see examples of newly grown up kids having meltdowns as adults because they get told no and can’t cope with another adult refusing to give them what they want

Parents need to teach their vile kids!
If the police won’t don’t anything, SEN parents will. We have spent years fighting for our children’s rights and wellbeing, and we won’t let them come to harm at the hands of some delinquent teens.

I’m trying to be rational, but I know full well that had this been my child – those parents would be receiving theirs back in a box.

and as you are denying your child life experiences, it will be dependent on you for the rest of your life and then what – you will have failed by not preparing it to face life alone, when the time comes.

It needs a much stronger response that what schools currently do. The standard practice is to exclude for one day or maybe two. This does nothing.
In my day, bullies were brought up in front of the school and publicly severely chastised.
Public humiliation is the most effective deterrent. Schools no longer do this. It’s like they want to hush it up all the time, probably in case Ofsted get a sniff of it. Do the right thing for once!

Having spent 20+ years working in education, it is incredibly difficult to enforce adequate sanctions often because of the response from parents. We once had a parent come in to school shouting and threatening to kill the headteacher! Why? Because the child’s teacher had confiscated his phone for 24 hours. (Yes, that’s what we’re up against)

so – someone filmed it and posted it on facebook and that was the end of it.

no complaints from any kids, no complaints from the apparent victim, no other kid ran to tell any teachers or told their parents. doesn’t sound like a big deal to me.

and it doesn’t sound any different to what has gone on at schools across the country for decades and decades

And that makes this acceptable does it?
You must be a parent of one of these little sh**s. Well done you on raising such an adorable child NOT. And then you have the audacity to defend their disgusting behaviour. Enjoy visiting your little scum offspring in prison cos that’s the only place they’ll end up.

Bate Kush. You seem to know something that the police might be interested in. Your knowledge of the ‘real’ event.
Island Echo, in the name of public decency and community responsibility please pass on this person’s contact details to the police.

Guessing it was a monster of your breeding that stood around laughing or joining in?

If you can’t raise good kids, keep your legs shut.

. The so called ‘robust’ punishment is in fact a 20 min detention for each child in which they just get to sit and chat to their year lead. Absolutely disgusting.

I went to an all boys school in the 60s and let me tell you that school would make high schools today look like kindergartens.

In the 60s discipline started at home and was carried forward at school and without a word of lie we all respected our elders back then.

For minor infractions the teacher would slipper you in front of the class, caught smoking or bunking off school the headmaster caned you.

What kept all of us boys in line was quite simply the thought of being punished, in all the years I was at school I only saw one boy get slippered by our teacher and we only ever heard rumours that someone had been caned.
Simply the thought of being disciplined kept us all in line. There is no deterrent today and this is the result.

We do not live in the 60s any more, time and society has moved on thankfully. Most kids are capable of making good decisions without the threat of physical violence towards them. There will always however be exceptions!

I really hope the victim gets some support, kids with extra needs have a hard enough time just getting through school, let along being victimised by bullies! There is one really nasty kid in my sons class and the school simply cannot control him and his parents just don’t care.

Any body who recognised any of the feral, shameless, disgusting vermin and has chosen to fail that innocent victim by not informing the police is as bad as the bullies YOU KNOW WHO TOU ARE!!!

This makes my blood boil and my heart break. Absolutely shocking cruelty and abuse. The system is broken. I truly hope something comes of this investigation and the instigators are permanently removed. The trauma the young boy must be suffering, and the parents, who trust their child would be safe. Now You need to show that are consequences.

This is still bullying regardless of if its poo or mud all children involved should be expelled for this type of behaviour. Their parents should be ashamed of what they have dragged up. This island use to be nice and pleasant but all that has gone now it’s out of control here and the police do nothing

Bullying in any form is wrong, if the video shows a group of people surrounding a person with educational needs and not doing anything to stop the action they are all guilty of bullying, excrement or mud they should have stepped in to stop the action. If that was the case how can the police say that it was a non-crime. Idiocy leading towards laziness and a disregard for the safety and well being of a needy member of their community.

Relieved to hear it was just mud so the police have stopped investigating this matter. I mean, it’s not like bullying anyone, let alone someone with special needs is the kind of behaviour we want to stop these “cherubs” from doing is it?

Pretty sure the charge would be bullying regardless of what they are “forced” to eat. Either another police failure or bad reporting.

Hope the young lad is okay, nobody deserves to be treated in this way. However, suggesting that a parent hitting their kids will make them learning this context is ridiculously stupid. Any adult that hits a child is a bully because they wouldn’t hit anyone else. This isn’t the 60’s anymore so wake up, install boundaries and communicate with your child. Remember, bullying is a sign of insecurity.
