A serious medical emergency at an address in East Cowes has seen the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance land in the car park of GKN Aerospace this lunchtime (Sunday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was alerted to the incident on Clarence Road at just before 10:50 this morning, with 2 ambulances, an enhanced care paramedic and an operational commander mobilised to the scene.
Now, doctors and paramedics from HIOWAA are in attendance and are working alongside their Island colleagues in a bid to save the individual’s life.
The helicopter touched down in the car park of nearby GKN Aerospace at 11:50.
Police are also on scene.
UPDATE @ 13:07 – The patient has been stabilised and has been taken by road to St Mary’s Hospital, accompanied by the HEMS crew.
The air ambulance has relocated to the helipad at St Mary’s.





























































































I wouldn’t go to St mary’s if it was the last hospital on earth.

Thank god he’s ok. Glad to see St Mary’s have done something right for once. They definitely need mainlanders to run that place.
