Sending positive thoughts to the rider and well done to the Services
My thoughts to the motorcyclist and there family
My thoughts are with the Motorcyclist but over the years so many Motorcyclists
drive at ridiculous speeds along the Military Road.
Speed Camera’s and traffic calming is a must along this Dangerous Road.
People treat the Military Road as a Speedway.
A permanent Police presence along this Road would make this Road safe for
everyone
The Military Road is completely safe for any motorist at a maximum of 60 mph, any speed above this this and you must accept the consequences. The speed limit of 60mph is there for a reason.
Paul, the military road is a perfectly safe road. The problem is the users of it, and not the motorcyclists. I am a motorcyclist who has nearly been killed on that road several times due to drivers overtaking cyclists coming the opposite direction and nearly having a head on with me, or overtaking whilst not looking or seeing a motorcyclist.
Granted in this case it was a single motorcyclist accident, so it’s difficult to understand what’s happened here, but please don’t blame the motorcyclist when you have no idea on the circumstances
In any event I do wish the rider a full recovery and thoughts are with their loved ones
So saddened by this news. Rest in peace my dear friend of 30years. Heartfelt thoughts to the family x
He died then ?
When I read the fact it was a serious accident and one moto cyclist involved the helicopter never took him to a bigger hospital than St Mary’s trauma hospital, I had a horrid feeling that he died at the scene
