The search for missing 32-year-old Charlotte Mullen has relocated to Culver Down near Sandown this afternoon (Bank Holiday Friday).
Dozens of WightSAR volunteers and Coastguard Rescue Officers from Bembridge, Ventnor and The Needles have rendezvoused at the beauty spot overlooking Sandown Bay.
Teams have broke off into small groups to conduct a thorough search of the vast open space, including the cliff tops.
Lifeboats from Bembridge and Sandown conducting a search of the shoreline between Yaverland and Bembridge yesterday evening, but nothing was found.
Charlotte hasn’t been seen since around 16:30 on Wednesday afternoon. She was last sighted in the area of Morton Common, but it is thought there has now been new information received to suggest she was spotted in the vicinity of Culver.
When last seen, Charlotte was wearing dark blue trousers, black socks but no shoes, a white knitted top and a black zip up hoody with a pink lined hood. A number of Island Echo readers have reported seeing Charlotte by the iron bridge at the junction of Morton Common and Perowne Way.
According to Police, Charlotte is described as being 5ft 5″ tall, of slim build with long dyed red hair which is normally in a bun, the roots of her hair are showing which are brown. Charlotte also has a small scar on her forehead, above her right eye.
