Ryde C were confirmed as Division 1 champions as Ryde A and Ryde Rankers were both held to draws in a dramatic week.
With a few matches still to play, Ryde C have secured the Division 1 title. Behind them, 2nd-placed Ryde A were held to a 5-5 draw by Havenstreet A, keeping the battle for the remaining positions alive.
Havenstreet’s Roger Hookey and junior Jye Lock both won 2 matches, while Ryde’s Scott Lawson was unbeaten. Lawson and Mark Turner secured the doubles in 5 sets against Hookey and Michael Bulpitt to recover from 5-4 down and earn the draw.
Bottom side Ryde Revellers also produced a surprise result, holding 3rd-placed Ryde Rankers to a 5-5 draw. Steve Mills was unbeaten for the Revellers, while Spike Hughes added a win and partnered Mills to take the doubles in 5 sets.

Division 2

Newport Vics A were crowned Division 2 champions after completing a dominant campaign.
Division 2 fixtures were completed this week, confirming the final standings. Newport Vics A secured the title with 2 convincing wins, finishing 24 points clear of Ryde Rising Stars.
Rising Stars impressed throughout the season, with cadets Thane Taylor and Theo Lewis continuing to develop strongly, supported by captain Tom Waddell as they closed the gap towards the end of the campaign.
Barry Joyce topped the averages for Newport with over 91%, with team-mates Rob Warren and John Cornforth finishing on 89% and 86% respectively.
Newport Vics B finished 3rd, just 2 points ahead of Havenstreet B, despite a 7-3 defeat to Ryde Retailers. Robin Clegg was unbeaten and player of the match for Retailers.
Ryde Resisters ended the season on a positive note with a 6-4 win over Ryde Rogues, with Trevor Percival unbeaten.

Wroxall Warriors A sealed the Division 3 title as strong results continued across the table.
With 2 matches remaining, Wroxall Warriors A are confirmed as champions after a dominant season. They recorded a 9-1 win over Wroxall Warriors B this week, with Mark Coombe the only winner for the B team.
Newport Vics C are confirmed in 2nd place after an 8-2 win against Ryde Raiders, although Kevin Fraser impressed for the Raiders with 2 singles victories.
Shorwell Saviours produced an excellent 6-4 win over Cowes Baptists, with Christian Rhodes and Martyn Walker both winning 2 singles and combining to take the doubles.
Ryde Odd Balls secured a stylish 7-3 win over Wroxall Lizards, with Gareth and Ollie Lewis both unbeaten to cement 4th place.
