A Ryde man has been jailed for 32 months following a burglary in Ryde last year.
Clive Stewart Richardson, 49, of East Hill Road in Ryde, was handed a 23-month prison sentence today at Newport Crown Court.
This was after he stole £50 from an address in Queen’s Road, Ryde, on 6th February 2022.
Richardson was also sentenced for possession of heroin after he was found with drugs when he was arrested on 6th July 2022.
He also faced a further charge of assault of an emergency worker, which happened while he was in custody at Newport Police Station on 7th July 2022.
Richardson was jailed for a total of 32 months.

Not nearly long enough for him to reconsider his approach to life sadly.
So not only has he been stealing from decent folks homes he’s also assaulted an emergency worker and in possession of heroin! He should be hung drawn and quartered. At least I’ll sleep better tonight knowing he’s locked away, phew..Steve
Just checked and “hanged, drawn, and quartered” is only applicable to crimes such as sheep stealing these days.
I bet you know about all that sheep stealing malarkey Mr Peters…Steve
looks thick as sh%te
Now that, is a funny shaped head.
I think he needs to rob himself a smaller forehead
I have no sympathy for people that consciously make a decision to take drugs and turn to crime. Waste of space!
Clive Richardson again! He is the most prolific burglar in the island I would think. But he is usually caught so perhaps not the best at his “job”.
No doubt he will be released within the year and will be back doing much the same thing again.
For some strange reason, I really fancy a boiled egg after seeing that picture. With buttered soldiers.
Tefal head strikes again…
A message from one of his fans has said he’s been clean of drugs. Umm, right. Step in the right direction that he got some sort of sentence.
At the age of 49 it’s about time he started to grow up. Complete scum !
