The RSPCA Isle of Wight in Godshill is calling on the community to show its support as the charity competes for a share of £45,000 in funding through the Companion for Life Call for Projects.
The Island branch is one of only 26 organisations across the UK to have reached the public voting stage. Only 7 groups will be selected to receive funding to support the welfare of companion animals, making every vote crucial.
The public voting phase opened on 24th July and runs until 22nd October. Islanders are urged to cast their votes online and help the local branch secure much-needed funds to continue its work caring for vulnerable animals.
Veronica Chrisp from RSPCA Isle of Wight has said:
“Your support and that of your community is more important than ever. We’re not asking for any financial contributions, just a simple favour – please vote for us and share this with friends and family. Every vote makes a difference.”
The Godshill centre, which relies heavily on public support and volunteers, provides care and rehoming for animals facing difficult circumstances. Winning the funding would help the team continue its vital work.
