Vintage clothes, furniture and memorabilia shop Rogues of Ryde is to make a return later this month with the popular business to move into a new premises in the town’s Royal Victoria Arcade.
Rogues used to be located on Lind Street, but after being told that their landlord was looking to sell, they closed back in September 2023 – as previously reported by Island Echo.
Fast forward some 13 months though and the team at Rogues says this new era at the establishment off Union Street will be more exciting, creative and colourful than before.
Its not just retro clothes and furnishings that Rogue’s sell though with the likes of; fairground memorabilia, original film posters, arcade vintage games, vintage oriental, and various other limited edition goods all on offer at Rogues.
Owner of Rogues, Kevin says:
“We can’t wait to open and bring a spring into your step as you enter the iconic Victorian Arcade and start bringing it back to life it’s not just about us but all the other characters that have stalls in Arcade!
“We will be having events of all descriptions with a monthly Sunday Vintage Day of our own to add to the successful one that Victorian Lanes already run Our aim is to encourage other Shop holders to join us and see how lovely the Arcade will be!
“We don’t want it to end up like the Theatre has and if it doesn’t get used, as it should…… it possibly will! And that would be a tragedy for Ryde and the Island!
“Rogues have proved pretty popular at Events in the 3 years they have been about and invite all there former customers plus some new to get involved with there new adventure.”
Rogues of Ryde is to open on 23rd November, as part of the grand reopening a music event is to be held on opening day. Tickets to this will be available on the day that the shop opens again.
