Red Funnel has had to extend the operation of its winter timetable for another week to allow additional steelwork to be undertaken to Red Osprey.
It has been confirmed today (Monday) that the winter timetable which has been in operation for months now is to be extended beyond this bank holiday weekend until 5th May.
This looks set to have a knock-on effect for those heading to and from the Island this weekend as well as those heading to events such as the Randonnee and Ticket To Ryde.
To assist with additional traffic over the bank holiday weekend Red Funnel also be adding an extra round trip on its vehicle ferry service on Friday 28th April, departing from Southampton at 22:30 and from East Cowes at 23:55
The change comes as a result of the need to complete additional steelwork to the vessel following its annual out-of-the-water inspection.

When are they going to sack the top management of this company they are so not fit for purpose. All you get from Leanna Lakes and Fran Collins are apologies for their total lack of maintenance of their ships. One excuse after another.
Actions do speak louder than words, too many in charge in areas that they obviously have no control over so why are they there?
Any excuse not to run a decent service.
