The Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s annual Real Ale Train will be running up and down the heritage line tomorrow (Saturday).
There are 3 real ale bars at Wootton, Havenstreet and Ashey stations open from 16:00, with steam trains running until 22:30, linking them, with the stations from Smallbrook Junction to Wootton.
Event Organiser, Liz Tagart said:
“Our volunteer bar staff have sourced beers and ciders known to be popular with a summer audience.”
At Ashey and Wootton there will be a selection of beers brewed by Island brewers and ciders.
At Havenstreet there will be beers from the Pheasant, Mighty Oak and Yates breweries, speciality ciders and soft drinks. Tickets purchased after 16:00 include your first pint and are available online and at the gate. Food is available at Havenstreet and Ashey.

Catering Manager, Nick Boycott, said:
“Our freshly cooked bangers and mash served at Havenstreet are good accompaniment for all of the drinks.”
With Island Line trains stopping at Smallbrook Junction until 21:02 connecting with trains to Shanklin, Lake, Sandown and Brading with Ryde for connections for Wightlink’s catamaran service to Portsmouth.
Southern Vectis Route 9 via Staplers stops at Wootton Station throughout the evening. This unique evening out means there is no need for anyone to drive from the Island or the mainland.
