A power cut is affecting 1,800 properties in the Wootton area this evening (Sunday), which has also knocked out the traffic lights at 2 busy junctions.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say that the outage in the PO33 4 region was reported at just before 17:50 with a total of 1,882 customers affected across 119 postcodes.
Island Echo readers say that the traffic lights at The Cedars are not working, nor are the lights at Fishbourne Lane.
SSEN report that engineers are aware and anticipate that power will be restored by 22:00.
UPDATE – Power has now been restored to all customers.
