Police have launched a search for a missing woman in the Bullen area of Ryde tonight (Thursday).
Officers are currently conducting a hunt with the assistance of WightSAR – the Island’s voluntary search and rescue team.
The volunteers were called out at the request of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary at 21:36.
A rendezvous point has been established at Cothey Way, near Tesco, with search team members dispersing from there to flood the local area with resources.
Police have not yet issued a public appeal.
UPDATE @ 23:27 – The woman has now been located, Island Echo understands.
The search has been stood down.
