The public are being urged to keep an eye out for 23-year-old Levi Bellamy who is wanted by Police on recall to prison and on suspicion of involvement in an assault in Newport.
Hampshire Constabulary say they want to speak to Bellamy in connection with an ongoing assault investigation. The assault allegedly took place late in the evening of 25th July, on Castle Road.
Officers have conducted a number of enquiries to locate the 23-year-old and will continue to do so, however, they are now turning to the public to report any sightings of him.
Levi is said to have links to the Portsmouth/Southsea area too.
Police are reminding people that anyone found to be harbouring him to deliberately obstruct attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves.

UPDATE (Saturday) – In a statement released this morning Hampshire Constabulary has said the following:
“We can confirm that wanted man Levi Bellamy has now been arrested and recalled to prison for breaching licence conditions.

He was put in prison for stamping on someone whilst in prison he punched a prison officer so hard he lifted off the ground he has since been released from prison and has assaulted someone again. Let me guess back to prison for 2 day?
