Officers from Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Constabulary and HM Coastguard Crew members are in attendance at a welfare related incident on Ryde seafront this evening (Sunday).
Police and Coastguard Officers from Bembridge were called to the scene on Esplanade at around 16:30.
Emergency service personnel were alerted to concerns for the welfare of an individual near Ryde Pier.
It is unclear how the incident occurred, however it is believed to now be under control with the individual in the care of the numerous Police Officers on scene.
Coastguard and Police vehicles remain in the area.
UPDATE @ 17:45 – The incident is now resolved.
All emergency service personnel have left the area.
