UPDATED: A collision between a Ford KA and a BMW 1 Series is causing delays in Northwood this evening (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has 2 ambulances on scene between Newport and Cowes as a result of a side-on impact near the county showground.
Police are also in attendance and are directing traffic. They were called to the scene at just before 18:30.
No one is thought to be seriously injured, however at least 1 person is being conveyed the short journey to St Mary’s Hospital.
Motorists traveling to and from Cowes should expect delays. Southern Vectis are advising of 15 minutes delays to Route 1 buses.
UPDATE @ 20:35 – 3 people are being treated at St Mary’s Hospital this evening, however their injuries are not serious.
UPDATE SATURDAY – All 3 occupants of the Ford KA, which was being driven by a woman in her 20s, have been released from hospital following a check up.
