2 paddleboards, each with a retail value of £779, have kindly been donated by RenoDrain and are among the prizes in a charity raffle organised by local insurance broker Howden Newport to raise money for St Catherine’s School.
With over 40 years of dedicated service, St Catherine’s is the UK’s only specialist provider of education and therapy for children and young people aged 9 to 25 with speech, language, and communication needs. Their invaluable work makes a profound difference in the lives of their students, and the team is keen to support them through community fundraising.
To help raise vital funds, Howden Newport is running a charity raffle with winners announced on 11th August. Over 20 prizes have kindly been donated by businesses across the island, including Skintrade, Red Funnel, Visual Impact, The Entertainer, Specsavers, Dinosaur Island, Isle of Wight Steam Railway, French Franks, Mia Tui, Available Light, Southern Vectis, Lushington Hill Bodyshop and many more.
The raffle is open to everyone over the age of 18; tickets can be purchased from the Howden Newport branch for £1, or from St Catherine’s school.
Furthermore, 4 team members from the Howden Newport branch are also taking on a wing walk later in August to boost donations for the school.
Charlotte Forrester, Account and Claims Handler at Howden Newport, says:
“We’re thrilled to support St Catherine’s School and the incredible work they do. By taking part in our raffle, people can win some fantastic prizes while making a real difference to the lives of young people with communication needs. We truly appreciate all the support from local businesses and organisations, who have donated prizes and are helping us make a difference for the students of St Catherine’s.
Jamie Webster, from RenoDrain said:
“When I was asked if we could donate a raffle prize, I wasn’t aware of how much St Catherine’s School helps people in our community. I was soon taken back when I realised what this school does for children with speech, language, and communication needs – I instantly wanted to help raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause!”
