Nettlestone residents are without water yet again this afternoon (Monday) whilst Southern Water carries out urgent repairs.
Water in the East Wight village was switched off at around 14:00 with it not set to return until around 17:00 at the earliest.
It was overnight on Saturday that a burst occurred on Eddington Road in the village – the only road connecting the villages of Nettlestone and St Helens.
This is just the latest water-related issue in Nettlestone, with Southern Water having previously worked on Eddington Road on several occasions.
A spokesperson from Southern Water has said:
“We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, we aim to complete these repairs as soon as possible.”
Anyone wishing to do so can keep track of the status of repairs on the Southern Water website.

Why does no Company on the Island know how to carry out repairs.
Just get a professional outfit from the Mainland to carry out the repair.
Much cheaper in the long run.
