Hampshire Constabulary has revealed that no further action will be taken against a duo who threatened officers in Sandown on Saturday night (10th April).
A police presence consisting of several cars and 3 police vans was seen on Sandown Esplanade – in the vicinity of the pier – at just before midnight.
It has since emerged that the large number of officers present at the scene was in response to threats made during a routine stop and search of a Nissan Micra.
Officers stopped the vehicle on Sandown Esplanade at just after 23:30, at which point its 2 occupants refused to leave the vehicle and made threats against officers. A short time later those involved complied with the search.
Hampshire Constabulary has told Island Echo that no arrests were made and that no further action will be taken against those involved in the incident.
no further action really ! why not?
Because the hand wringing do gooders are coppers now.
If they wont take action against someone who threatens an officer of the law, what chance does joe public have of getting a copper out, if they are threatened by the same d ickheads.

This is another example of the soft policing where despite threats being made they get let off with no further action. No wonder they get away with all but the most serious crimes and show no respect to the police. About time something was do.

Why don’t they write the truth then, which is no further action was taken because without doubt, the stop and search was made without cause, therefore rendering it an illegal move, they can’t prosecute at all because the people Involved could easily fight their case and win. This seems more like 2 people who actually know the law, legislations, and their own HUMAN RIGHTS which clearly the rest of you need to be educated on.
You seem to think that the police have rules they have to follow. Mate, they can arrest you simple because they think you may commit a crime. I suspect the police got board of these two and moved on. Maybe they were a minority a the coppers thought better of it.
