Assuming this is going to be seen by one of Island Echo’s, so called, moderators, why on earth do we have to wait, often hours, for posts to be accepted when moderators seem quite happy to accept posts that are clearly clearly sexist, racist, abusive or are merely blatant trolling?

Either get rid of the annoyance of waiting for a post to appear, or do your jobs properly.

Rubbish.

If the public have access then it is a legal requirement for your car to be roadworthy, taxed and insured and the driver legally entitled and fit to drive whoever the land is owned by.

Think you’ll find that Most insurance companies will not accept their clients liability,it’s not highway or public land and no laws broken, doesn’t even need insurance in private car park so long they have paid for parking space, most may well loose no claims .

You are wrong, it has public access so makes it part of the highway and when making the report the it will classed as unclassified so insurance will have to pay up.

Drink, drugs, or medical episode. Driving without due care and attention at least?
Only ‘hurty words’ is arrest worthy these days.
Did the police check under the vehicle to ascertain if there was an innocent smeard across the underside?

How? If it was a young lad driving and didn’t have drugs on him, hadn’t been drinking or broke any laws then how could he possibly have the book thrown at him? Just curious…. No laws broken by the woman driving either just a case of driver/mechanical error. Also not all islanders are smackheads only the pretend islanders who have lived here for a little while and think they own the place, overlanders….. oh and to all the people who reply with crap about bad driving, can you honestly tell me you’ve never made a silly mistake whilst driving because of tiredness, screaming kids in the back or just lack of attention, doubtful..

Finally someone writing something sensible! Personally I’m fed up to the back teeth of people coming to live here who spend their time making derogatory and rude comments about those of us who are born and bred Caulkheads. If you don’t like it here go back from whence you came!

Proud Caulk-heads like Kelly and Karen* (who’s “fed up to the back teeth with Overners” [GOSH! A Caulk-head with teeth!!] really would appreciate it if all Overners would be forced to permanently wear yellow reflective jackets emblazoned with OVERNER on the back and carry a bell as a warning so that Caulk-heads could run and lake cover whilst counting the 10 fingers and 2 thumbs they have on their inbred hands!
Actually, come to think of it, it might be much more efficacious if all Caulk-heads were obliged to wear distinctive warming clothing and only be allowed to drive Reliant 3 wheelers. People to be avoided!
* Karen!!!!! Have you seen all the “Karen” postings on YouTube featuring menopausal Karen’s?
