UPDATED: The Cowes Floating Bridge will be out of service from 08:30 on Tuesday (29th March) for its annual inspection.
During the annual service a foot passenger shuttle will be in operation, with the 40p fee remaining in place. Vehicles will be diverted via Newport.
It is expected that the service will resume on Monday 4th April.
The annual inspection is essential to ensuring that the floating bridge meets its health and safety obligations.
UPDATE FRIDAY: The Cowes floating bridge will be back in service from 05:00 tomorrow (Saturday) following its annual inspection.
The inspection and resultant works have been completed successfully, earlier than anticipated, meaning that the service can be used from this weekend onwards.
