Fishbourne-based Rebel Marine is continuing its rapid expansion to now offer transport of vehicles and plant equipment by water, adding to its already extensive fleet of vessels and pontoons.
For hard-to-reach areas where access would otherwise be impossible, the company’s shallow draft pontoons are able to load/unload onto foreshores, quaysides and more.
Rebel Marine, which was established in 2015, has grown its operations from Fishbourne Quays over the last 7 years, with the addition of 4 more workboats and a considerable stock of pontoon units in the past 12 months alone.
In partnership with another local Island business, F1 Precision Engineers, they have fabricated a range of accessories that can be attached to the pontoons including a fully foldable marine crane, spud legs and pile driving equipment.
Perhaps the Isle of Wight Council would like to give them a call for a new East Cowes to Cowes vessel…

I can see an Dunkirk flotilla of these crossing the Solent sea if ferry prices rise much more.
They could be used to build a bridge.
Probably a darn sight more reliable than the floating bridge
Well this is the second laughable moment I’ve had today, so they’ve built what I call a raft yet spent millions on a boat that doesn’t fit, slightly confused with owners of said floating bridge when they could have had it done cheaper and more accurately on the isle of wight Thank you for the happy laughter for the evening.
How about a 5 mile bridge, put an end to ridiculous Ferry Prices.
How about then having the Isle as built up as the mainland so no advantage to living here. THINK (if capable)
You obviously can’t see that the island already is getting as overpopulated as the mainland. You are obviously so busy thinking that your eyes are shut.
If you don’t want to live on an Island why are you living on an Island?
If we had a bridge, we could escape daily to better pay, people that come to visit year round, will have more money to spend in local businesses.
But that’s just too reasonable isn’t it.
Please don’t not invite IWC to become involved, that’s the equivalent of the kiss of death … a hopeless track record on this subject .
