UPDATED: Emergency services have been called to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Carisbrooke High Street tonight (Thursday).
Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene near to the Eight Bells pubhaving been alerted at around 21:45.
A male – understood to be a Dominos delivery rider – is being immobilised and transferred to an awaiting ambulance.
The road remains open but under Police direction.
UPDATE – Emergency services have now left the scene with the patient having been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
The extent of their injuries is unclear at this time, but they are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.
