Nine Acres Community Primary School has announced the appointment of Rosie McDonald as its new Headteacher.
The appointment follows a rigorous selection process undertaken by the Governing Body, with the support and guidance of the Local Authority.
Miss McDonald was selected from a strong field of applicants due to her extensive experience, leadership qualities, and clear vision for the school’s future.
Rosie brings over 15 years of teaching experience, including significant senior leadership roles. She previously served as Assistant Headteacher at Nine Acres, where she was the Senior Leader in ‘Excellence for All’ responsible for leading and developing high standards of teaching and learning across all subjects.
On her appointment, Rosie has said:
“Since qualifying as a teacher, I have worked across a range of schools, taking on leadership roles including Subject Leader in a variety of subjects, Head of Standards, ‘Excellence for All’ Leader and Assistant Headteacher.
“I am immensely proud to be part of the unique Nine Acres community – a community defined by its collaborative spirit, shared values and unwavering commitment to educational excellence and I am truly honoured to take on the role of Head Teacher.”
George Rowing, Chair of Governors, expressed the Governing Body’s enthusiasm for the appointment:
