The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) has been scrambled to an ongoing medical emergency in Lake this morning (Wednesday).
Specialists medics left their Thruxton base at around 11:15, following calls to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with an emergency in Lake.
Having made its way south and across the Solent, the yellow and green liveried helicopter landed on the playing field at the nearby Broadlea Primary School.
Flying doctors, as well as an Operational Commander and Critical Care Paramedic, joined firefighters from Shanklin at an address off Lamorbey Road.
It is unclear how the incident occurred.
