32-year-old Rhys Patrick Davies, of no fixed abode, has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm after a 35-year-old was left with a fractured skull following an assault in Sandown on Thursday.
Davies has been questioned by officers over the weekend which has led to a charge of GBH being issued. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Monday).

How the guy has a speedy recovery in hospital..

That’s a good old Isle of Wight name.
Scum always has been
Well said Zoe!
Theres another intensive care bed taken up unnecessarily by people who ignored the lockdown. Well done, such great decision making.
Like the DFL’s who came here to ‘isolate’ & brought the virus with them!
not only taking up precious beds in hospital, but spreading it to the rest of us as well 🙁
So who exactly brought the virus over then, you seem to know so much? Don’t suppose it could have been someone shopping in Pompey or a member of the emergency services working on the mainland, could it?…….No, it had to be a DFL.
Ain’t got a brain to make any decision with Tim
Is this scum one of the rough sleepers who has been forced to currently reside in a hotel when they would probably prefer to be still sleeping outside?
Open up camp hill and put them up there
People need to stop being so nasty that’s my cousin who is in hospital and you lot bickering over things how very sad have some thoughts as he in an induced coma thanks to that scum bag who can’t control his temper no one deserves to be put through this when things are already tough enough things are very worrying still and the next couple of hours are going to be critical my thoughts and feelings go out to his family and friends
Well it was the scum who did it to him that most of us were complaining about on here. I hope he makes a full recovery, it’s terrible.
