Police on the Isle of Wight are this weekend investigating allegations that a pensioner has been inciting an underage boy to engage in sexual activity.
Officers descended on an address in the East Wight yesterday afternoon (Friday) and arrested a 65-year-old man on suspicion of inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The man, who cannot be named at this stage, was also arrested on suspicion of sending communication of an indecent and/or offensive nature.
A number of bags containing potential evidence were removed from the residential property as part of the investigation.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the pensioner remains in custody at this time as the investigation continues.
