A man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident at an address in Shanklin in October last year is to face no further action, Police have confirmed. As first reported by Island Echo, officers attended an address in Atherley Road, where a man in his 40s was found with wounds to his body and a head injury. The male was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment, with his injuries serious but not life-threatening. A 43-year-old man from Shanklin was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, with an appeal for information launched at the time. Now, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that he is to face no further action.
