Audiences were enchanted by the music of Paul Armfield at Sibden Hill in Shanklin recently.
Local countryside charity, Gift to Nature, commissioned Paul as part of their Lottery-funded Reaching Communities project.
The audience relaxed in the dappled shade as Paul performed his beautiful songs, with backing vocals provided by the many birds living in the wood.
The collection of 5 songs, celebrating our native trees, now forms a trail around the nature reserve for everyone to enjoy. Visitors to the site may listen to the songs by scanning the QR code on the wooden posts found below the trees.
Graham Biss, Managing Director of Natural Enterprise who manages Gift to Nature, said:
“We hope that this song trail, along with improvements to our other sites, will give our community even more reasons to explore their local, natural spaces.”

Wish you had reported it before it happened as would like to have been there
Shame some of this wasn’t on video I am sure we would have loved to hear some of the songs and maybe more would attend in future.
