3 people have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs after a large quantity of cannabis was found in a vehicle in Cowes yesterday evening (Monday).
Officers moved in on the car in the supermarket car park of Aldi off Three Gates Road.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers seized a large quantity of suspected Class B drugs.
A 25-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were all arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
The driver of the car – the 25-year-old – was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
The trio remain in custody for questioning.

It seems so. Maybe the Hampshire &IoW Police could carry out a special operation to target the Island to root out the drug suppliers. The fact that we are an Island. should make this a good place to target. Drugs seem to be rife here and it is ruining the lives of those who use the drugs , their families and friends along with the communities blighted by drugs.
The coastline of the Island makes it an ideal drug route into the UK.
It is not OK to turn a blind eye to drug dealers and they need to be reported.
Drugs come to the island through the county lines drug smuggling rings. The suppliers are probably based in London and they use these idiots as mules to traffic the drugs to the island. Not easy to stop.
Can we please separate cannabis from these hard drugs you’re obviously talking about. Very different levels here! Plus we can all just grow it in our backgardens it’s not like cooking up meth

Most of the harmless puff as you suggest is in fact skunk which has an extremely high quantity of THC and has been proven to promote psychological disorders.

Also any particles going into the lungs are dangerous , cannabis if smoked is potentially cancer causing and as you say it causes psychological disorders with prolonged use. It is also the cause of many road accidents.

They’ve been arrested on SUSPICION and they are all INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty!
These men will have families regardless what has or hasn’t happened their families are innocent and the families will be worried about their sons!
Regardless of anything these young men are humans and a public shaming ceremony is not it.

Try as they might, the police will never be able to stop the flow of cannabis from grower to the streets. The only answer that makes any sense is to control it, legalise it, and licence a few shops to sell it. The demand by illegal means would dry up, taxation would raise an enormous amount of money to fund the NHS and buyers would know exactly what they were consuming. Lots of other countries have done this, many states in the US also. This would also free up lots of police resources to go after bigger fish. Love it or hate it, cannabis is not going to go away. Legalise it. If it works elsewhere, it could work in the UK.

It’s laughable. The biggest drug dealers in this country and every other country are the Governments. Tobacco, Alcohol and Gambling addiction destroys people and their families on an epic scale but that’s okay, it’s legal!!! The rewards in tax obviously outweigh the human misery.
This beautiful island is slowly becoming a ghetto. The type of people and the crime they commit is getting worse. Our Police force are sadly fighting a losing battle. They catch these criminals and bring them to justice only for a judge to let them off with a slap on the wrist, a suspended sentence and xxx of unpaid community service, whatever that is? You never see these people being supervised in the community ‘completing’ their service that has been ordered to them by a judge. They should be litter picking, removing graffiti, cleaning street furniture and contributing something good into society. It’s all going the wrong way and getting steadily worse.
