Police have seized knives and suspected Class A and B drugs during an early morning warrant execution carried out in Newport this morning (Thursday).
Officers from the Isle of Wight Neighbourhood Policing Teams, supported by officers from the mainland, carried out a warrant on Albany Road at around 08:00.
The road was closed at both ends with several Police vehicles and officers dotted along the usually quiet residential street.
Island Echo understands that the property in question was home to multiple dogs.
Following a thorough search of the property, officers seized a small quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs, a number of knives, and mobile devices from the property.
No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.
We don’t want these idiots in our community we all know them by their disgusting drug habits, crime, knives, fierce looking dogs, none of them have an ounce of class or will amount to anything except take take take from society
