Reports of 3 men seen in possession of a knife on the streets of Sandown led to an extensive search of the area last night (Friday).
Police were called out at 22:51 following reports of 3 men being seen in possession of a knife.
Officers conducting a search of the local area soon spotted 2 men matching the descriptions given by witnesses.
The 2 suspects were detained near to the Broadway garage and a search of their persons began.
Although a knife was not found, a quantity of Class B drugs were.
It has been confirmed to Island Echo that an 18-year-old man from Ventnor has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
