Coastguard Rescue Teams from Bembridge and Ventnor have responded to reports of children stuck in the mud on the River Medina in East Cowes this evening (Saturday).
The 2 teams were mobilised to the water’s edge in an area near to Kingston Road sometime around 16:30.
It’s understood that the children were spotted in difficulty in a dinghy.
Thankfully, the youngsters are now safely ashore with Coastguard officers.
