Isle of Wight rapper Fugo Kid has released his latest EP, UFOs, with the 4-track project now available to stream.
The new release sees the Island artist – whose real name is Jack Portuito – delve into personal themes across a blend of hip-hop and jazz-inspired sounds.
Among the tracks featured on the EP is dopamine, which premiered on BBC Radio Solent’s Introducing show earlier this week.
UFOs also includes appearances from fellow local musicians Jack Jordan and Rhiannon Maia, while Maya Young provides the voiceover that opens and closes the project.
Speaking about the release, Fugo Kid said:
“I’m really excited to finally release UFOs after months of planning. I can’t wait to show people this new step forward in my music.”
Fans will be able to hear the new material live next month, with an official launch show set to take place at Triple A Records in Newport on Saturday 11th April.
The performance will also mark the first time Fugo Kid has taken to the stage with a full backing band.
