UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is attending an incident on the zebra crossing outside Broadlea School in Lake this morning (Thursday).
1 person has been injured and is receiving medical treatment at the scene on Newport Road. It is thought they have fallen from their mobility scooter.
Police are also in attendance.
Traffic is backed up in both directions and therefore motorists should avoid the area for the time being, diverting via Landguard Road.
UPDATE – The scene has now been cleared and traffic levels have returned to normal.
