4 Islanders will complete a day-long golf session across 92 holes, whilst also walking to all 8 courses with their clubs, to help raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The tournament – dubbed ‘Golf the Wight’ – will be held on Wednesday 22nd June and will see 4 golfers play 92 holes in 1 day over 8 courses across the Island.
Teeing-off at Freshwater Bay Golf club at 04:00 they will then play holes in Cowes, Osborne, Ryde, Westridge, Newport and Ventnor before finishing back at Shanklin and Sandown at 21:30, walking every step of the 100km travel distance with their clubs in tow.
Mark Taskas, bar manager at Shanklin and Sandown, has run the event before in aid of several charities raising large sums of money through sponsorship and raffles, taking part this year alongside 3 keen golfers.
The chance to sponsor the team is available on their fundraising page.

Good luck to the 4 intrepid golfers raising money for the Air Ambulance charity whilst enjoying themselves. Please support them with a donation.
