Staff at GKN Aerospace in East Cowes have once again been given the opportunity to voluntarily resign from the company and walk away with a lump sum payout.
The firm has re-opened its a voluntary resignation scheme, which encourages members of staff to say farewell to the company with the added incentive of a £20,000 tax-free payout.
The news comes at a time when the aviation industry finds itself in turmoil due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Staff at both the Falcon and Osborne sites have been offered the package.
A spokesman has confirmed to Island Echo that the scheme has re-opened but that it is entirely voluntary for employees who feel they would benefit from it.
