Islanders can expect to awake to foggy conditions on the Isle of Wight tomorrow (Wednesday) as IW Met Service issue a yellow weather warning.
Localised mist and fog patches, initially confined to more rural parts, will become widespread through the early hours of tomorrow, becoming very dense in places by dawn.
Not everywhere will see the foggy conditions, however, and some southern parts of the island may escape altogether.
Motorists can expect reduced visibility which will be hazardous, especially on low lying rural roads and country lanes.
Cross Solent travel may also be affected for a time during the morning – especially Red Funnel services to and from Southampton.
The weather warning is in force from 01:00 until 11:00 on Wednesday 22nd September.
Will the island drivers take note, i don’t think so….business as usual..
They’ll have an extra pint or spliff before heading out. No police to stop them, government giving all our tax money to US companies to cover the cost of running the factories.
Drivers need to SLOW DOWN. Adjust your speed if the conditions reduce visibility or we all know what will happen don’t we…..
nice photograph whoever took it
Thanks! Took it myself at the bottom of the hill to Culver Down a few years back.
