The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast this morning (Wednesday).
Islanders are being urged to monitor local water levels and weather conditions, avoiding low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.
Those who live near the coast and have a flood plan should start acting upon it now.
No specific information has been provided by the EA due to strike action, with the warning automatically triggered by predicted tidal levels.
Areas normally affected by coastal flooding include Cowes, East Cowes, Yarmouth and Ryde.
