The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service assisted colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service in moving a patient who took a turn on a Southern Vectis bus in Freshwater earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).
Paramedics were called to Heathfield Road to intercept the 13:31 Route 7 bus from Freshwater to Alum Bay when a passenger became unwell. The Freshwater-based Co-Responder was also mobilised to the scene.
Later on, the assistance of a fire crew from Freshwater Fire Station was requested to help move the patient into the awaiting ambulance.
