Firefighters have tackled a barn blaze in Carisbrooke overnight that has engulfed a 10x8m outbuilding.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to Froglands Farm near Carisbrooke Castle just after 02:30 this morning (Monday) following reports of a barn well alight.
Five appliances, including the Foam Salvage Tender from East Cowes and a Water Carrier, have attended the incident on Froglands Lane and around 20 firefighters have managed to contain the fire, which has destroyed a building used as a workshop and wood store.
An LPG cylinder found at the farm has been kept cool and has been prevented from exploding.
Fire crews continue to damp down the scene after the fire was extinguished at around 07:30. No one has been injured in the incident.
