The annual unique tour allows Islanders to see all the best Christmas lights, including Long Lane (pictured).
Southern Vectis General Manager, Matt Kitchin, said:
“We believe we’re the only Christmas lights tour by bus in the UK – and we’re now in our 14th year.
“This year, we’re offering a very special stop on Wednesday 17th December. The bus will go to Osborne House for a Victorian Christmas Tour – which includes a 45 minute walk around the house, a hot drink and mince pie.
“Lots of people return year after year – and they say it’s the traditional start of Christmas celebrations for them. Our drivers love the fact that people look forward to taking the trip. It’s a wonderful way to start the season.”
The Christmas Lights Tour operates from Newport Bus Station on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday – and from Ryde Bus Station on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, up until and including Wednesday 24th December.
The tour lasts for around two and a half hours and will stop at Shanklin to serve complimentary mince pies and a hot drink. The stop also gives passengers the opportunity to browse the Christmas shop in the Old Village.
“On Sunday 14th December, we’re delighted to welcome Rick Jackson – Wave 105 DJ and bus enthusiast – who be our tour driver. All proceeds for that evening will be donated to Cash for Kids.”
Tickets cost £12 per adult and £6 per child (under 19). A family ticket (2 + 2) is £30. The Osborne House night costs £18 Adult and £10 per child.
