A tree has fallen to the ground in Merstone this afternoon (Sunday), meaning the carriageway has been blocked.
Southern Vectis Tweeted to say that all route 2 buses are now on diversion due to not being able to pass the tree along Merstone Lane.
Buses will divert via Rookley until further notice.
Island Roads have been informed and are en-route to clear the road.
UPDATE 17:20 – Merstone Lane has now been cleared of the fallen tree.
Southern Vectis has Tweeted to say bus route 2 will now return to normal.
