The Fairlee Fireworks event has once again been cancelled, this time on safety grounds. Fireworks were due to be let off from North Fairlee Farm on Sunday evening. The event has been cancelled once already following adverse weather at the start of November. Organisers had sounded out this Sunday as the new date, but once again the poor weather forecast has forced the event to be cancelled once again. A Mountbatten spokesperson has said:
“We are so sorry to have to do this, it’s very disappointing for all involved. “As you can imagine, a lot of the costs for this event have already been paid, meaning Mountbatten will lose a substantial amount of income from its cancellation. “We would therefore ask that you consider donating your ticket fee if you are able.
