UPDATED: Hampshire Constabulary and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team are in attendance at Culver Down near Sandown this morning (Friday).
Coastguard officers are searching along the cliff path, whilst Police patrol up and down the length of the main road up Culver.
The emergency services arrived at the beauty spot shortly before 10:55.
It remains unclear at this stage what has prompted the response, however, earlier this week emergency teams were called to the same location for concerns for the welfare of a woman.
UPDATE @ 11:30 – Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team have joined colleagues at Culver Down this morning as the incident continues.
Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat have also launched and are now conducting a shoreline search from Yaverland to the end of Culver Cliff.
UPDATE @ 11:54 – It has been confirmed that HM Coastguard and Police are conducting a search for a missing person.
So far nothing has been found and Police have now left the scene.
UPDATE @ 12:15 – Search teams have now stood down from the incident.
Nothing has been found, but Police enquiries continue.
UPDATE @ 14:04 – The missing person has been found safe and well by Police.
