Early bird Islander tickets for the 2024 Isle of Wight Festival have sold out in record time, The Price is Wight has confirmed.
Tickets for the 2024 iteration sold out in just over 24 hours since they were released on The Price Is Wight website on Friday (23rd June).
Next years edition of the popular festival will be held on 20th – 23rd June – a week later than is usually the case.
At points since they went on sale at 12:00 yesterday those trying to buy online encountered technical issues, however TPIW have said that they appreciated the patience of those trying to snap up a ticket.
Despite the demand for a ticket, no lineup announcements are expected for some months so anyone who has purchased a ticket already has done so ‘blindly’.
A statement on The Price is Wight Facebook page has said:

“Thank you everyone for all of your support
We have been blown away by the demandArticle continues below this advertisement “We appreciate all your patience & backing – it means the world to us”.
It’s not all doom and gloom for those who haven’t got a ticket as tickets will be on general sale very soon.
Islander tickets on Ticketmaster have already sold out. Absolute joke, John Giddens needs to allocate more to islanders, so many are disappointed.
It’s ticketmaster and other resellers that are the problem, they should be stopped, look up “the Beyoncé effect on inflation “, concerts would be far more affordable without resellers.
What happened to the credit crunch, people cannot be that skint to
go to the Festival.
Tax credits dear chap, or now universal credits, anything from puberty onwards here who has a buggy full, gets a free home, free council tax, has undeclared live in dealing partner, so has little costs, yet thousands a year in income.
Add ever more help with free food, energy costs, school meals, uniforms, gym membership, free dental care, free prescriptions, no home insurance to pay, free transportation to schools, trips, even more if they can claim for some trumped up ailment, then buying a ticket is less than a half a days ‘income’ for so very many.
I know.
And they park on pavements too!

I work full time. I get UC I don’t get a free home. I pay full council tax. I don’t know what a dealing partner is, but my partner lives with me and our children. We have lots of costs. You may have noticed prices rising in the shops. I don’t get free food, help with energy costs, we pay for uniforms and food for school lunches, we don’t get free or discounted gym membership, I pay for NHSdental care, I pay for prescriptions, we have to pay for home insurance, of course. We pay for school transport.
And doesn’t everybody park on pavements?
Your answer seems to come from a place of anger and resentment, and I’d suggest you search inwards for a solution to your pain.
Ignore them.
They realise they have p*ssed their own lives up the wall and spend their time blaming everyone and anyone for their own miserable existence except the person truly responsible.

I will wait until they it them up for sale the day before the festival starts! No early bird here, late bird gets the bargain!

I bet majority of these tickets won’t be used by islanders except locals resell them for massive increase in prices
