The discovery of a dead dolphin on the beach at St Helens led to a call out for HM Coastguard on Tuesday afternoon.
It had been reported by a member of the public that the dolphin had washed ashore on the beach at The Duver.
Coastguard Rescue Officers from Bembridge were mobilised to the scene, with measurements and other information gathered on behalf of the Natural History Museum.
That looks like a porpoise not a dolphin

Whatever species he/she was is irrelevant. This beautiful animal probably died alone – no one knows why (yet).
