Actor Paul McGann, famous for portraying the 8th incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who, was filming around the Island last week.
The short film called ‘The Day of the Sun Dog’ was written by Rowena Amos from Ventnor and sees the 62-year-old involved in a project with Kerrie Taylor, best known for her role in ITV family drama Where the Heart Is.
Filmwight, which promotes the Isle of Wight for film, TV and photographic projects, said:
“It’s been great working with these two great actors over the past couple of days on the Island,”
The former Doctor Who star said of working on the Island:
“It looks fantastic, bits of it remind me of the West Country and other bits remind me of Lancashire. I know I’ve only been here a few days, but you can pretty much have what you wanted here.
“Everything is close to each other 15-20 minutes not 2-3 hours, if I was a production manager or producer that is really attractive.”
