Isle of Wight DJ and care worker Jamie Hindson has continued his monthly donation initiative, this time supporting Bodster Equine Assisted Learning Centre in Shanklin with a £100 contribution.
Jamie, who works across several care roles including as an SEN teaching assistant, respite carer, and children’s home activity coordinator, is donating £100 each month to local charities and support services until December 2025.
October’s donation was made to Bodster Equine Assisted Learning Centre, which offers equine-based programmes for people aged 6 to 90 years, including those with complex needs.
Jamie said he was warmly welcomed by the centre’s owners, Jo and Giles Boddington, and introduced to their vision and work:
“I got to meet all the horses including Blue – animals really do have a great way with mental health.
“They cater to a wide range of people, including EAQ trainees, team builders, and those returning to work. Soon they’ll also be supporting families, which is exciting for the Island.”
Bodster offers a number of equine-assisted learning programmes that aim to build emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and wellbeing through guided interaction with horses. Other services include short breaks, mental health support, team-building sessions, countryside courses, and school programmes.

Jamie’s history of charitable fundraising includes taking part in YMCA sleepout events, abseiling the UK’s highest waterfall, and running a solo half-marathon to raise £1,000 for mental health services during the pandemic.
