HM Coastguard Rescue Crews from Bembridge were tasked after a dolphin was found washed up on the beach at The Duver yesterday morning (Thursday).
Crews were tasked at around 09:45 after a member of the public noticed the deceased aquatic mammal on the beach – not far from the car park.
Once at the scene, Coastguard Rescue Officers took measurements of the cetacean and gathered further information to be passed on to the Natural History Museum.
After this disposal of the mammal was arranged by the Isle of Wight Council.
Very sad news.
